FALICON
SUPERCRANK ™ SERVICES DESCRIPTION
The
Falicon Supercrank
(moderate lighten, balance & polish)
is the “ultimate” crankshaft modification for
knife-edge performance. The OEM crankshaft is blueprinted to
the best combination of oil clearance, moderate lightening and
precise tolerance for your specific application. The crank throws
are contoured and polished to a mirror finish, improving oil
flow and reducing crankcase turbulence. Each crankshaft is custom
balanced to the reciprocating weight and intended rpm range,
for use with or without the OEM counterbalance (on some models).
Ultra-Lite
Supercrank (max
lighten, balance & polish)
developed specifically for Road Racers. Our Ultra-Light Supercrank
reduces the flywheel effect for faster engine acceleration,
more efficient braking - and most importantly - better lane
control. The reduction in gyroscopic effect helps the rider
change direction - a serious benefit on road courses.
Falicon's
Heavy Supercrank
(balanced,
polished, but not lightened) comprises
of polishing the finished crank throws to a bright finish for
improved oil flow.
Dirt
Track Heavy Crank (added
weight, balance & polish):
For smoother delivery of power and increased torque, Falicon
Crankshaft offers “heavy” version of some cranks.
The crank is modified by adding additional rotating mass. For
those situations where there is limited traction and slower
engine acceleration is desired, the inertia of a heavy flywheel
will reduce clutch use and rider fatigue without sacrificing
peak horsepower. Note: Service offered
for Press-Together cranks only!
